Man City 2-0 PSG (Agg. 4-1): Riyad Mahrez Double Send Manchester City To First Ever Champions League Final

Manchester City have beaten Paris Saint-Germain to reach a first ever Champions League final.

City held a 2-1 lead from the first leg at Paris Saint-Germain last week, and Pep Guardiola insisted City only know how to approach the game one way, so would be looking to attack and win the second leg rather than sit on their lead.

Guardiola named Fernandinho and Aleks Zinchenko in his starting XI, the only two changes from the first leg, while Kylian Mbappe was only on the bench for PSG.

The Blues were true to Guardiola’s word as they took an early lead through Riyad Mahrez, while PSG went close through Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria.

After the break, a close game was put to bed as Mahrez capped off a superb break involving Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne.

That goal, to put City 4-1 up on aggregate, saw PSG lose their heads as Di Maria was sent off for a stamp on Fernandinho, and City comfortable saw out the semi-final to book their place in the final in Istanbul against either Real Madrid or Chelsea.
